This is beautiful scenery, with the Sakurajima volcano overlooking the bay. Also featuring Shiroyama park, the waterfront, and the Nagisa lava trail.

Kinkodai Elementary school Brass Band played with powerful and beautiful performance in the opening ceremony of Marine Port Kagoshima.The port is on the island constructed in Kinko-bay ,Kagoshima,Japan.The mountain is Mt.Sakurajima,Island of Cherry Blossoms.

We had a meeting in Kagoshima, so the 4 of us piled into Kaori's car, and decided to head down there a day early, and check out a famous somen place.

This will be the last ~musical montage~ type thing I plan to make. If I submit more videos, I promise that they'll have some.. substance.

I mainly just wanted to upload this one, so my friends have something new to put on their myspace. (The only other one was that Purikura one, you see.)

There is no text, no additional music, only the rythm of the temple drums, the chanting of the monks, the flickering of the fire and the sweat of the people who participated in this ceremony in the SAIFUKUJI TEMPLE near Kagoshima in southern Japan. You can almost sense the heat of the fire, the fume of burning incense and the smoke of the pieces of wood that carry a message of the people, wishes that rise to Heaven with the help of the smoke.
